Ultrasonic Thread Inspection

Our Ultrasonic Thread Scan unit is designed to inspect for cracking in the root area of both box and pin end threads. A single transducer is used with any portable ultrasonic flaw detector instrument. Couplant water is supplied to the transducer by a water outlet or a small submersible pump in a portable water supply tank.

The unit can be designed for a range of thread taper and sizes.
